Luke's 2nd b-day party

Luke turned 2 last February 26th. Unlike his first birthday, which was rather grand, his 2nd birthday went by with a simple home party graced by a few of our friends. The party was kinda unplanned and we only invited some of our friends two days before the party.

More than the party, we are very happy for our son on his 2nd year. He is growing so fast that sometimes I miss his "younger" days. It was only as if yesterday when I gave birth to him, now he's already running and learning to talk. And he knows how to say NO.

Now that we are going back home, many things will be new to him. New adjustments, new things. He'll have meltdowns for sure, because of all these, but I promise myself to be there by his side to guide him through.

Ate Dana, my cousin, is celebrating her 3rd birthday today. She gave me an e-cake on my birthday. Now, it's my turn to greet her. Since we are miles apart, I want to e-greet her with this image. Hope she'll like it. My real gift, though, is coming a few days late. Hope she'll like that too!

So, how's the party?

Good. Lots of fun. Lots of new toys to play with and scatter around the house. Enjoyed playing train-train with the kids. Lots of foods, too!

It was exhausting for mami since she was alone in the preparations. Despite that, all of us were very happy to share this big day with our friends who joined us in the celebration. Many of our friends did not make it to the party, but we're pretty sure they too feel happy for Luke.

Come on, let's sing!

Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday, happy birthday

Happy birthday Luke Nathaniel!

Sneak preview to the Oh, One party

A few more sleeps, and here comes the big Oh, One party for this young fella.

Not probably minding that his birthday is just a few days away, my son is busy with his standing-without-holding-on-to-something moments, at the same time endlessly playing. I am, on the other hand, occupied -- and frantic -- with things that should be prepared for the 2-day party.

Yes, that's right. A 2-day party. Wow! You might think it is a grandous one. No. It will just be a simple one, with some selected guests. I didn't invite Princess Masako, but Winnie the Pooh and his friends will be at the party (at least in spirit) to somehow make the ambience a real-like kiddie day.

Okay, you're asking why 2 days? Two reasons: guests schedule, and limited space (to move around) in our apartment. Everyone is so busy these days that we really have to make sure that they can attend this important event in my son's life. Despite this, however, a few of our friends could not still make it (there'll be other times, anyway).

So, that's it! I do hope that it will be a happy pooh-ish party for Luke!
