Wondering, wandering

TREES
by Joyce Kilmer

I think I shall never see
A poem as lovely as a tree
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Agaisnt the earth's sweet flowing breast.

A tree that looks at God all day
And lifts her leafy arms to pray
A tree that may in summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair.

Upon whose bosom snow has lain
Who intimately lives with rain
Poems are made by fools like me
But only God can make a tree.

This little child has probably been mesmerized at how big and marvelous the trees are, and how they have grown as such. Someday, when he's big enough to understand why things are what they are, he'll find out the answers.

But before he grows to be big man himself, I'd like to enjoy every minute of his childhood while I can. As a toddler, he is soooo sweet and lovely, especially when he's so generous in giving out hugs and (wet) kisses. Our home is always filled with smiling and loving air because of him. Laughters abound. And I long for his super sweet smile as he greets me when I come home from work.

Oh, the joys of being a mom.
Countless indeed, as the leaves of the big and mighty tree.
