No picking of flowers, please!
In Japan, picking of flowers is considered a crime. Flowers are only for viewing by the hungry eyes, and adoring their aesthetic beauty. However, this little boy is not at all aware of that rule. Yesterday, at the Shunjuku Gyoen National Garden, while Dadi was busy taking pictures, and Mami on the look-out for other beautiful displays, Luke instantly snatched a few -- not just one -- yellow chrysanthemums on display. He was so happy with his catch that he even held it up and showed it to Dadi, hence this picture. Half-ashamed, I grabbed the flowers and put them inside his pocket so no one would see them, although I know for a fact that a few visitors saw what had happened.
Actually, he also did the same thing with the roses in Yoyogi Koen when we went there last week. Visitors would only laugh at us, which I rarely care. ;)
