New and bigger toys
How many toys does this little boy already have since his birth? I don't know. I haven't counted them all yet. Besides, I don't have much time to count them all, for my time is normally devoted to cleaning and clearing all the cluttered toys around our house. Do I get tired of clearing up the mess? Hmm, well I guess sometimes. But as a mother, I shouldn't, for it's part of my [very challenging] job to keep the house in order amidst a perennial disorder. As long as my toddler is in the business of throwing his toys (and all other things) here and there, I shall be in the business of throwing the same back into their proper places (and I mean in every corner). I guess these are just all part of his toddlerhood. I'll let him be, for soon he'll be able to learn the meaning of the words "in order" and "clean".
To add to the clutter are new sets of toys which we bought for him in a recent bazaar. He was all smiles when we handed him his newfound friend Poohbear, whom he cuddles and playfully wrestles with every now and then. The bear is a bit big for him right now but that doesn't matter to him. He has found a playmate, sleepingmate and a buddy. And he likes to kiss the bear's nose. ;)
He also now has a Sesame Street Amusement Park to play with all day long.
While it gives me joy to buy these toys for my young man (as he naturally delights in them), it also brings some unforeseen not-so-good effects on him. I am talking about his time for napping, especially in the afternoon. Because he is very eager to play with his new toys, he forces himself not to go to sleep, even if he is obviously sleepy (my hints: scratching his neck, rubbing his eyes, tantrums, etc.) To tell you honestly, it gets more difficult for this active kid to take a nap; a longer nap, that is. And, soon as he opens up his eyes, all he wants to do is practise walking around the house and playing with his toys.
