Afternoon stroll

Last Sunday, Mom's Day, we discovered that there is a nice children's park about 500 meters away from our house called the Kamichiba-Sunahara Park. It is quite wide in area, with the homey animals (i.e. pig, goat, horse, rabbit and tiny monkeys) welcoming you upon entering the gate. These animals, by the way, can be fed and held. We even saw children queueing up to have a good horse ride.

A walk past the Zoo, you'll be amazed by the mini-Tokyo ambience of the area with its mini version of the Rainbow Bridge, a mini road with a complete set of mini traffic lights in all intersections, mini bicycles of various types (to suit children's ages/skills), and a mini fountain-cum-swimming-pool where children roll up their pants and happily play with the water. But the traffic enforcers are no mini, eh! These amenities are intended for children to simulate what it is like in the real world -- things like obeying traffic lights and caring for the animals. Well, this is a good training ground.

Too small yet to play in the water? *sigh*

Luke and Dadi just sat by the side while enviously watching the bigger kids play.

Ok, so tired of sitting? Let's have a walk then.

But, hey, can't help control my feet. I want to jump in the pool and have a nice play with the bouncing water.

Oh, boy! Sometimes, it is hard to control this young fella.

At the gate, Dadi and Luke trying to have a carry-me-up-and-tickle play. Obviously, Dadi can't stand any longer carrying Luke that way, so he was trying to carry him down but that ain't easy too.

Can you guess what's Luke doing with the monkey statue? Yep, trying to remove those ugly annoying black things in her big nostrils. Yikes!

Since this is just a few minutes away from our place, we'll surely visit this place often -- if not everyday! ;)
